Shopping & the Village
North Conway is one of New England's great shopping towns for one simple reason: New Hampshire has no sales tax. Settlers Green, five minutes from the farm, gathers more than sixty brand-name outlets in one walkable village — and our Outlet Shopping package adds a coupon book to your stay. The village itself is worth an afternoon too: independent bookstores, outfitters, candy shops, and cafés line Main Street around the historic train station.
Mountains & Scenic Rides
Mount Washington — the Northeast's highest peak — anchors the valley, and there are three classic ways up: hike it, drive the Auto Road, or ride the world-famous Cog Railway (our Cog Railway package includes tickets). Closer to town, the Conway Scenic Railroad runs vintage trains through the valley, the road up Cathedral Ledge ends at a clifftop view over Echo Lake, and the Kancamagus Highway delivers mile after mile of unspoiled national forest — unmissable in foliage season.
Family Days Out
Story Land has been the valley's rite of childhood for generations — rides, fairy-tale characters, and the Moo Lagoon water area, about thirty minutes north (ask about our Storyland package). Cranmore's Mountain Adventure Park and Attitash's alpine slides and ziplines keep bigger kids busy, while Echo Lake State Park and Diana's Baths offer easy swimming and waterfall walks that cost next to nothing. After the day out, the pool, playground, and fire pits back at the farm finish the job.
When to Visit North Conway
There's no wrong season. Summer belongs to the Saco River and the trails; fall paints the valley in world-class foliage; winter brings skiing at Cranmore, Attitash, and beyond, plus the Polar Express in the village; spring means quiet roads, rushing waterfalls, and the best rates of the year. Whenever you come, our activities guide and spacious family lofts make the farm an easy home base.
